Organization Settings
Configure your organization from Settings at the bottom of the sidebar.
General
- Organization Name — admins and owners can change it.
- Slug — the organization's URL name, used in every app's address. It is set at creation and cannot be changed.
- AI features — turns the platform's AI on or off for the whole organization. Only the owner can change it; while it is off, nobody in the organization can use Shaep AI.
- Delete Organization (owner only) — see Deleting the organization.
Company profile
The legal entity behind the organization, used on invoices: legal and trade name, legal form, KvK number, country, registered address, VAT number (with a VIES check), website and a security contact. Admins and owners can edit it.
Members
The Members page lists everyone in the organization with their role.
Roles
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including changing or cancelling the plan, the AI features switch, transferring ownership and deleting the organization. |
| Admin | Manages members and invitations, credentials, most organization settings, the payment method and AI credit; can delete workspaces and deployments and read the audit logs. |
| Contributor | Creates and changes resources: workspaces, projects, deployments (dev and prod), editors, CI runs, databases and buckets. Cannot manage members. |
| User | Standard access: can view the organization's resources and use the platform's AI, but cannot push code or deploy. |
| Viewer | Read-only access, without AI. Can file support tickets and reply to them. |
Changing Roles and Removing Members
Admins and owners change a member's role with the role menu in the members table, and remove a member with the trash icon. The portal asks you to sign in again before it applies the change.
- Only an owner can make someone an owner or remove an admin.
- The last owner cannot be demoted or removed, and neither can the organization's accountable owner until ownership is transferred.
- A role change or removal signs the member out of the organization at once. Their personal agents that no longer fit their role are revoked.
Transferring Ownership
An owner clicks Make owner next to another member. That member becomes the owner, including billing responsibility, and your role becomes admin: you are signed out of the organization and sign in again. After that, only an owner can transfer ownership.
Invites
Admins and owners invite people from the Members page:
- Click Invite Member
- Enter the email address
- Select a role (User by default; only an owner can invite an owner)
- Click Send Invite
The recipient receives an email with an Accept Invitation button. The invitation expires after 7 days, and must be accepted while signed in with the invited email address. Open invitations also appear under Settings > Account > Invites.
Pending Invites on the Members page lists invitations that are waiting. Resend invite sends a new link that is valid for another 7 days (the old link stops working); Cancel invite removes the invitation.
Every member takes a seat, and your plan includes a limited number of seats. If the plan is full, the invitation is refused until you remove a member or upgrade; open invitations do not take a seat.
Usage
Shows your plan's limits and what the organization uses. See Usage & Quotas.
Audit Logs
Audit logs show organization activity such as logins, invitation changes, credential changes, and administrative actions. Admins can filter by time range, action, and source area.
For details, see Audit Logs.
Projects
Projects group workspaces, deployments and storage, and can limit which members see them. A project without members is visible to everyone in the organization.
For user-facing project workflows, see Projects & Workspaces.
Deleting the Organization
Only the owner can delete the organization, from General > Delete Organization, after typing its name and confirming once more.
- Deleting is refused while money is still owed or a payment is being processed.
- Everything the organization runs stops immediately.
- After 10 days its repositories, databases, files and images are erased and cannot be recovered. Invoices are kept for tax purposes.
Next Steps
- Create API credentials for programmatic access
- Review audit logs after administrative changes
